Analyst Certification Analyst Certification tracks user certification for executing specific test procedures. This is particularly important in regulated industry, where it is necessary to document the credentials of staff performing specific tests. LabVantage also documents the certifications of the trained analyst. I am conducting a specialized test on Samples. This test requires extensive training regarding the handling of the Samples. I therefore Certify only two trained Analysts to conduct the test.
Instrument Certification and Management Instrument Certification is a process that allows you to establish calibration and maintenance requirements for Instruments and their parts.

Instrument Certification can be established based on date and time, the amount of time an Instrument has been in use, and optionally by evaluating standard Samples used for calibration.

Regular calibration and maintenance can be scheduled. A Certification Schedule allows you to schedule regular calibration and maintenance which, upon successful completion, can be used to determine whether or not the Instrument is available for use. The Certification Schedule automatically initiates a Workorder requesting calibration or maintenance on the Instrument. If calibration or maintenance is not completed in the allotted time (as defined by the Schedule) the Instrument or part will become unavailable.

The WB-500 Weight Balance must be calibrated to a standard weight once per month. I therefore establish a Certification Schedule which, upon successful completion, will make this instrument available for use.
