Description

The "bulletingizmo" Gizmo Type provides access to Bulletins and displays a Notification showing the number of unread Bulletins queued. Clicking the icon shows the Bulletin List page. You can also have this Gizmo inside of a Dashboard or full-screen (which shows as the bulletins List page) or if selected (Compact Mode = Yes in properties) will show as a collapsed Bulletin view, which looks similar to Google's Gmail Widget.

title text displayed on the Gizmo.

Help Text

Tooltip displayed onMouseOver.

title Color

Color of the title text displayed on the Gizmo. This is typically a text string, but it some cases it can be defined conditionally using a Groovy expression. See Introduction to Gizmos → Example of Gizmo Notification for more information.

Tab Id

If using tabs, specify an identifier for the tab. If not using tabs, leave this blank. If you leave this blank and you are using tabs, the gizmo will not be displayed.

Show Gizmo

Yes/No shows/hides the gizmo.

Width

Width of the gizmo in pixels.

Height

Height of the gizmo in pixels.

Enable Resize

Yes/No allows/prevents resizing of the gizmo.

Refresh on Timer Every (sec)

This activates a timer to refresh the count every n seconds. See Introduction to Gizmos → Gizmo Notifications for more information.

Enable Refresh on Events

Yes/No enables/disables the Gizmo Notification mechanism (see Introduction to Gizmos → Gizmo Notifications). This is useful to exclude inactive Gizmos from the Event Plan. Changes to this property take effect after a server restart.

Refresh on Events

Set of Events that will trigger the Gizmo if "Enable Refresh on Events" (above) is set to "Yes". See Introduction to Gizmos → Gizmo Notifications for more information.

Counter Color

Color of the counter displayed on the Gizmo. This is typically a text string, but it some cases it can be defined conditionally using a Groovy expression. See Introduction to Gizmos → Example of Gizmo Notification for more information.

Flash on Update

Available if the Gizmo renders an image. Enabling this will flash the icon for about 5 seconds.

Options

Details concerning properties that appear on options dialogs:

Property Name	Description
Property Id	Identifier of the property that appears on an options dialog. If this is in a collection or property list, include the full path using the dot character (.) as a separator.
Editable	No disables editing of the property, but it will still be visible.

Show in Preview

Show a preview of the bulletin message below the bulletin subject.

Chars to Show in Preview

Number of characters to limit the preview text.

Compact Mode

Yes displays a smaller condensed version of the Gizmo (as other popular email widgets).
