State Description
Initial If the Consumable Lot has a "Quality Sample", Consumable Lot Status is "Initial" after the Consumable Lot is first saved.

Otherwise, the Consumable Lot is checked to see if it has an "Approval" sepcified.

Pending Approval If the Consumable Lot has an "Approval" (Approval Types and Steps), Consumable Lot Status is "Pending Approval".

Otherwise, Consumable Lot Status is "Active".

Rejected If the "Approval" is rejected, Consumable Lot Status is "Rejected".

If the "Quality Sample" is Rejected the Approver is given the following options:
Leave the Consumable Lot Status as Initial.
Set the Consumable Lot Status to Rejected. Note: Once Rejected you can not return the Consumable Lot to an active Status.
Create a new Quality Sample for the Consumable. The status becomes Active or Pending Approval depending on whether or not Acceptance Approvals are Required.
Active "Active" indicates the Consumable Lot can be used throughout the system.
InActive "Inactive" indicates that an "Active" Consumable Lot has been Deactivated (such as when other Lots of the same Consumable should be used first).

Consumable Lots can be reactivated and deactivated with an ESig authorization.

Cancelled Consumable Lot is Cancelled and moves to the Historical list page.
Expired This indicates that the Consumable Lot is past its Expiration Date.
Disposed "Disposed" indicates that all Containers have been discarded.
Depleted "Depleted" indicates that the total quantity of the Consumable Lot has been depleted.
