"Container Types" define containers that hold Samples. This functionality is identical in both LIMS → Storage → Container Types and Lab Admin → Storage → Containers menus. Add from the Container Type List page:

Clicking "Add" opens the Container Type Maintenance page with this form:

| Column | Description |
| Container Type | Identifier of the Container Type |
| Description | Textual description. |
| Size | Numeric quantity of the Container Type, e.g., 10. |
| Units | Unit of measure for the Container Type, e.g., ml. |
Sample Type Detail |
The "Sample Types for Container" detail lets you add/remove Sample Types that will occupy the Container Type.
