Promote
To Element

  You can promote a Button or Image to an "Element" using the "Promote To Element" shortcut button (as shown in Form Builder Overview → Editing Frame → Menus → Insert → Insert/edit button and Insert/edit image).

After promoting an object to an Element, the Element Properties are available to make the object dynamic.

These define properties of the Element selected in the Editing frame or Objects frame.

Behavior

 
Property Description
Id Identifier of the Element.
Element Type Shows the type of Object that has been promoted to an Element.
Readonly Values can be "Y" or "N" to configure the Element as readonly/readwrite or visible/invisible. A Groovy expression can also be used to configure the Element as readonly/readwrite or visible/invisible based on entries made for other Form Objects, e.g., "This Element is readwrite only if another Element is readonly".

Color Background color.
Background Background image.
Class CSS class.
