The ParamList Policy defines system-wide behavior of the Manage Parameter feature of Parameter Lists.

Property Description
Apply Calculations To Specifies the mode of functionality and defines the behavior of the Managed Parameter feature:
Mode Description
Managed Parameter The Calculations are added to the Parameter that is selected to be managed.
Replicate ParameterA new Parameter is added and the Calculations are applied to that Parameter.
ManualThe User can select whether or not to add a new Parameter for Calculations.

"Replicate Parameter" and "Manual" modes require that you select values for "Replicate Parameter Type" and "Calculation Rule for Managed Param Type".

Replicate Parameter Mode Properties Determines Replicate Parameter and Calculation behavior:
Property Name Description
Replicate Parameter Type Parameter Type of the Replicate.
Calculation Rule for Managed Param Type Determines the Calculation Rule. This accepts the following tokens:
[paramid] (ParamId of the Managed Parameter Type)
[managedparamtype] (Parameter Type for the Managed Parameter)
[replicateparamtype] (Parameter containing the Replicates):
In "Replicate Parameter" mode, replicateparamtype is the Replicate Parameter Type.
In "Managed Parameter" mode, replicateparamtype is the managedparamtype.
Are Replicate Parameter Replicates MandatoryDetermines if Replicates are marked as mandatory (the default is No).
Restrict Main Param Type To Restricts the Manage Parameters dialog to a specific Parameter Type. If left blank, all Parameters not used in Calculations can be used as Managed Parameter Types.
Automatical (sic) Calculations Specifies general rules for Calculations:
Property Name Description
Show Determines (Yes/No) if the Calculation is visible and enabled.
Parameter TypeParameter Type for Calculation (this is a mandatory property).
TipTooltip for the Calculation.
Limit TypeLimit Type for the Calculation Limit. All Calculations must have their own Limit Types if a Limit is to be used.
Limit OperatorOperator for the Calculation Limit. Only <, >, <=, and >= are supported (in other words, Limits with only one value).
Set Unit Determines if a Unit can be selected for the Calculation:

"From List" shows a dropdown from which Units can be selected.

"Same as Managed Param Type" copies the Unit from the Managed Param Type (as a template).

UnitUnit for the Calculation.
Calculation Rule Determines the Calculation Rule. This accepts the following tokens:
[paramid] (ParamId of the Managed Parameter Type)
[managedparamtype] (Parameter Type for the Managed Parameter)
[replicateparamtype] (Parameter containing the Replicates):
In "Replicate Parameter" mode, replicateparamtype is the Replicate Parameter Type.
In "Managed Parameter" mode, replicateparamtype is the managedparamtype.
Calculation Rule EditableDetermines if the Calculation Rule is editable (the default is No). If set to Yes, the Calculation Rule defined here is applied only as a template on creation and will not be overwritten.
Data TypeData Type for the Calculation. The default is Numeric (Calc). This can be set to any Data Type that is available in the Parameter List Maintenance page.
Number of Replicates "Number of Replicates" determines the number of Replicates added (the default is 1).

"Same As Replicate" creates the same number of Replicates as in the Replicate Parameter.

Mandatory FlagDetermines if the Parameter is mandatory (the default is No). This is used as a template on creation.
Display Format"Same as Managed Param Type" uses the same Display Format as the Managed Parameter Type. This is used as a template on creation.
Replicate Parameter Required for Calculation
(in Replicate Parameter Mode)
In "Replicate Parameter" mode, the selection disables the Calculation if Replicate Parameter is not in use.
