Description |
"ChangeSampleStatus" uses the Sample Life Cycle logic defined in an Action Block to conditionally change the Status of Samples that are in the Input Queue. The Samples are then sent to the Output Queue. This Task must be preceded by a Task that outputs Samples.

Update Status |
"Update Status" is an ActionBlockStep that defines the Sample Life Cycle and runs the logic shown at the left to change the Sample Status depending on where it is in the Sample Life Cycle. As shown, EditSDI is used to change Status at the "Received" and "Disposed" junctions of the Life Cycle, with a provision for other statuses. The EditSDI properties define the variables.
In the Workflow Definition Maintenance page, a Setup Variable ("Sample Status" below) determines the new value for the Sample Status.
