Kit lot inventory is managed by LabVantage. Within the Kit Lot, the Kits and their inventory can be tracked individually for Complete or Bulk Supplies Kits, or together for Bulk Kit Item or Intermediate Kits. This is because Complete and Bulk Supplies Kits are potentially individually shipped to collection sites and such tracking allows the location and inventory of the Kits to be managed by LabVantage. Conversely, for Bulk Kit Item and Intermediate Kits it is only necessary to manage the inventory of the Kits and not their location.

| Kit Lot | Identifier of the Kit Lot. |
| Description | Description of the Kit Lot. |
| Kit Type | Kit Type on which the Kit Lot is based. |
| Kit Class | Kit Class defined by the Kit Type. |
| Expiry Date | Date when the Kit Lot expires. |
| Status | Status of the Kit Lot (see Kit Status). |
| Available | Number of Kits remaining available in the Kit Lot (Kits with a "Valid" status). The hyperlink opens the Kit List page to access the individual Kits in the Kit Lot. |
Buttons |

| Receive Bulk Supplies | Opens the Kit Lot Maintenance page to receive a new Kit Lot. |
| Generate Kits | Open the Kit Lot Maintenance page to create a new Kit Lot. |
| Expire | Changes the status of the selected Kit Lot to "Expired" (see Kit Status). Expired Kit Lot are only accessible from the Historical Kit Lots List page. |
| Edit | Opens the Kit Lot Maintenance page for editing the Kit Lot. |
| Print Labels | Prints the labels for the Kit Lot as specified by the Label Method defined in the Kit Type. Will print all the labels necessary for the Kit Lot - see Kit Type Labels. |
| Create Shipment | Creates a Package for shipment of all the Kits in the Kit Lot. Only available if none of the Kits have been previously shipped, i.e Kit Count = Available Kits. |

Kit Lots can be purchased from a Vendor or assembled using individual components (Kit Items). Different fields are displayed in the maintenance form depending on whether the Kit Lot is received or generated (described below).

| Kit Lot | AutoKey-generated identifier of the Kit Lot. |
| Status | Status of the Kit Lot (see Kit Status). |
| Kit Type | Identifier of the Kit Type upon which this Kit Lot is based. You must choose one when creating a new Kit Lot. After saving, the other fields are automatically populated with information from this Kit Type. |
| Kit Type Version | Version of the Kit Type. |
| Description | Text description. Initially set to the Description from the selected Kit Type. |
| Kit Class | Kit Class inherited from the Kit Type. |
| Amount to Generate | Quantity of the Kits to be generated ("Generate Kits" only). |
| Expiry Date | Date the Kit Lot expires (inherited from the Kit Type and editable here). All Kits in the lot expire on this date. |
| Expiry Warning Date | Date you are warned that the Kit Lot is about to expire (inherited from the Kit Type and editable here). |

Received Date |
User who received the Kit Lot and the date received ("Receive Bulk Supplies" only). |
| Vendor
Item Supplier Manufacturer Part No Catalog No |
Vendor Item for the items in the Kit Lot ("Receive Bulk Supplies" only). Upon selection, the Supplier, Manufacturer, Part No, and Catalog No are automatically populated based on the Vendor information provided in the Kit Type. |

Amounts |
This information is inherited from the Kit Type and can be edited here. Only applicable for "Receive Bulk Supplies". For an example of how these can be used, see the Kit Example.

Inventory |
This is the trackable inventory created by the Kit Type. Only applicable for "Bulk Kit Item" or "Intermediate Kit" class Kits. For an example of how to use these, see the Kit Example.

| Location | Storage Location (if any) of the Kit. |

Kits |
These are the trackable Kits created by the Kit Type. Only applicable for "Bulk Supplies" or "Complete Kit" class Kits. For an example of how to use these, see the Kit Example.

| Kit ID | Identifier of the Kit, which is a Trackable Item corresponding to the Kit Container. |
| Container Type | Container Type for each Kit Container. |
| Available Amount | Set to "1" for each Kit, but maybe modified. Number of Kits created (rows) is the amount specified in the "Initial Amount" for the Kit Lot. |
| Status | Status of the Kit. See Kit Status to view the life cycle. |
| Location | Storage Location (if any) of the Kit. |

Kit Items |
Defines the Kit Items used to make the Kit Lot. Only applicable for "Complete Kit" or "Intermediate Kit" class Kits and is initially populated with the Kit Items specified in the Kit Type. Upon selected the Kit Lots or IDs for the Kit Items, the inventory of the specified Kit ID will be decremented by the value in the "Use Amount" field.

| Lot | Kit Lot of the selected Kit Type that contains the items needed for generating Kits. Choosing this automatically selects the Kit ID (below). |

| Recommended Amount | Shows the "Amount" from the Kit Item defined in the Kit Type. |
