Purpose

Changes the Sample status to "Received" (see Sample Life Cycle). In order for the Sample to be Received:

•	Sample status must be "Initial".
•	User Role must be "Administrator" or "Receipt".

Description

When adding a Sample using Quick Login, Multiple Login, or Login Using Wizard, you can choose whether or not to automatically Receive the Sample after login:

•	Setting "Auto Receive Sample" to "Yes" changes Sample status to "Received" immediatley after login.
•	Setting "Auto Receive Sample" to "No" and checking "Sample Receipt Required" allows the Sample to be queried in the "Samples Pending Receiving" page.

Other than the standardized List page buttons, these specialized buttons are provided on the Samples Pending Receiving List page:

Button	Description
Data Entry	Loads a Data Entry page for the selected Samples.
Receive Now	Changes the status of selected Samples to "Received".
View/Edit First	Opens a Maintenance Form or Grid to allow editing the selected Samples prior to Receiving them. Clicking "Receive All" changes Sample statuses to "Received".
Add Tests	Lets you add Tests to the selected Samples.
Cancel Samples	Changes the statuses of selected Samples to "Cancelled".
Receive and Assign Storage	Launches the Assign Storage operation.
