Policies let you store and persist project-specific configuration properties. The mechanism that lets you create a Policy and define its properties is based on the Web Page Designer Property Tree model used for Pages, Page Types, Elements. Policies also support DBMS-specific property values (see Web Page Designer → Properties Overview → DBMS-Specific Property Values).

Policy maintenance is conducted through the Policy List page at System Admin → Configuration → Policies.

Operation	Description
New Policy	Creates a Policy. Enter a Policy identifier... Then, define the properties as you would when creating an item (such as a Page Type or Element) in the Web Page Designer.
Delete Policy	Deletes the selected Policy from the database.
Export	Exports a selected Policy using the Configuration Transfer Tools.
