Changed the document onLoad functionality to hide the Navigation iframe (TOC) when the document opens. A button has been added to the document toolbar to more conspicuously offer the option to show/hide the iframe. The MadCap Flare API provides only a single call for this and does not provide a global object on which a toolbar call can be executed. Accordingly, the button image cannot be dynamically swapped. An enhancement request has been submitted to MadCap Software to provide either two functions or a global object.

Synchronized the TOC with the currently loaded document file. The MadCap Flare API does not provide a global object on which an inter-frame rendering call can be executed. In fact, external inter-frame calls cannot be made at all. Flare's intended behavior is therefore to never collapse previously expanded branches in the content tree when a new branch is expanded. Another enhancement request has been submitted to MadCap Software to allow single-branch expansion. In the meantime, if multiple expanded branches seem awkward, you can manually collapse unneeded branches after expansion.

If the labvantagedoc.war is deployed in the application server, the new helpgizmo allows HTML documents from the deployed labvantagedoc.war to be registered in the LabVantage database and linked to Web pages to provide page-level contextual help. This functionality is currently evolving on an experimental basis using a handful of links to test integration with the LabVantage application and determine the best methodology for OOB implementation. It will become fully operational in a future LabVantage version.
